About the Hotel
Didihat is perched at an altitude of 1,725mts above sea level in Pithoragrh district of Uttarakhand state. It is located atop the hilly plains of Digtarh with river Charamgad or Bhadigad streaming from below. The word Didihat is inspired from a Kumauni word “Dand” which means a small hillock. Administratively, Didihat is a tehsil and subdivision of the Pithoragarh district. This region was under the reign of Raika Malla kings of Sirakot. Later in 1449 AD this region came under the control of Chand rulers, after defeating Doti Kings of Nepal. Didihat is also famous for ancient Temple in Sirikot of Lord Malaynath built by Reika Kings.
Didihat is rich in flora and fauna offering picturesque views of verdant valley surrounded by attractive ridges. It is situated on the pilgrimage route to Kailash Mansarovar. Didihat also offers panoramic view of serveral snow clad Himalayan peaks including Panchachuli peaks.
There is a fertile ‘Haat valley’ situated below the town. The average literacy rate of Didihat is 79% which is way above than the average literacy rate of India. Didihat is emerging as a tourist destination of Kumaon and the government of Uttarakhand is taking sufficient steps to promote tourism in Didihat.
